Ms. Loice Shalakha is the Corporation Secretary/ Manager Legal Services at the National Mining Corporation.  She is an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya with over 17 years’ legal experience. She holds an LLM degree from the Queen Mary University of London and an LLB from Moi University. Ms. Shalakha is also a holder of multiple Post Graduate Diplomas in Law, from both the Kenya School of Law and the Queen Mary University of London. She has a further Post Graduate Diploma in Program Management from the Kenya Institute of Management. She is a member of both the East African and the Kenyan Law Society chapters as well as a member of the Institute of Certified Secretaries.

Ms. Shalakha is responsible for providing strategic leadership in the Legal and Corporate Secretarial role including providing legal counsel to the Executive and the Board, developing and implementing legal strategies that align with the Corporation objectives,  contract management, drafting of legal documents,managing legal and regulatory risks, ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations and corporate governance standards and providing company secretarial services which include managing board meetings and related responsibilities.
